A weekend like no other...

Finally the weekend I've been waiting for has arrived...My weekends in Germany have never been this fun..Normally I would just go out to Neumarkt or Hauptbahnhof or Museum or just simply hang out at my place doing nothing else besides going online or watching movies....hurm..

It was a last minute plan for this weekend but alhamdullillah everything turned out awesome.I was chatting with a German friend, Tony when I suddenly thought of going to Essen on the weekends...There was another plan actually but it had to be cancelled due to some difficulties and time constraint..yeah.So zoooshhh to Essen it was...zooshhh tu as if like bunyi kereta api konon bajet laju tapi lembab kot.Tak kisah sebab murah dan murah dan murah.Murah penting ye adik2..student kot.

Kalau convert 37 euro maybe agak mahal..but2 this ticket allows you to take up to 4 people together..so total 5 people for 37.euro.murah kan...Unfortunately only Rumitha and I wanted to go to Essen..the others were busy with other events...

Trip to Essen - The Shopping City
A memorable trip to Essen filled with fun, humour and excitement.Would definitely love to go back to Essen and explore more on the city and the culture there...A beginning of a new friendship and hoping for a long lasting one...amin...
Essen- Die Einkaufsstadt

Limbecker Platz is well-known to be the paradise for all shopaholics

The interior of Metropolen - A shopping complex in Essen

We managed to experience family day held at the ice skating arena in  Essen

Chomeyl x budak2 ni pegang penguin nak blaja skating..alolo...

Teringat Snow World kat Genting Highlands

This is the view of Muensterkirche in Essen - One of the oldest church in Germany

Decorations outside the church

That's Tony...we went to have our lunch at Nordsee

I just love this lighting along the way from Essen Hauptbahnhof

Lawa ke hape kan...

Tram in Essen agak old-fashioned..tapi sangat chomeyl ada colour kuning dan pink

Stadtgarten
Three Ghosts or Spirits if translated from the german word Geister

Tengah2 je air dikelilingi ais...woh2.

Sila jadi kanak2 ribena semula...hebat owh Essen ada its own Stonehenge

Zollverein - World heritage building - UNESCO

This is the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex which used to be a famous coal mine in Essen..Now it is a world heritage building since 14 December 2001 and has become a museum as a tourist attraction since.. it has gained a reputation as the “most beautiful coal mine in the world..gempak kan.

Villa Huegel
Villa Huegel - a large estate and residence for the founder of steel. It was built by Alfred Krupp in 1873.

The three rings were the symbol for Krupp, based on the radreifen - the seamless railway wheels patented by Alfred Krupp

Krupp had once earned the first place for the company with the most income per year..impressive huh...

Touch screen for information..

The Krupp's family hierarchy...ended with this last guy who didn't get married...Schade...

Tony was our unofficial tour guide..Whenever we couldn't understand the text in German, he would explain it to us in English...good huh?

Some of the antic stuff being exhibited in the Villa Huegel

Fresh smoothies or crushes...paling best siap ambik nama customer konon nak lagi friendly skali salah eja...hoho

Tandas 70 cent skit arh.bayangkan times 5...actually kinda cheap for a public toilet at a Hauptbahnhof..kalau kat Koeln Hauptbahnhof dah 1 euro kot...

Ice Skating

The view of the ice skating building from outside..This is actually the place for the Koelner Haie ( Ice Hockey team in Koeln to practice for their tournament)..It is available to the public only on Sunday.

Because it is opened on only one day, the queue was like so freaking long..

Ice Skating Rink, the shark head stall and the Shoe renting place...

Group Photo...aww...thanx Frau Minrath for taking us on a wonderful weekend activity..

The Duos...

Group picture on ice..

Posing on ice penting kot..

We had tremendous fun..that's for sure...

Gambar posing maut perlulakan..

Tschüss from Nabeyl....Stay tune and hope to see you guys again on the next post...

Yeah! You know, since I heard about Ice Skating from you, I suddendly more and more are thinking about if I should take the risk to try it (and maybe get hurt lol).

It was really a great time in Essen... You know it was my first free day after my exams, and I had a lot of fun with you both.

Thank you for the great experience, and keep me updated if there is a new planned trip to anywhere.... haha
